Coastal Adventures around Tybee Island
Come slow down and explore the waterways around Tybee Island and the Savannah area on a private boat tour with local captains who know these creeks by heart. Drift through marshes on eco-tours that can include hiking remote barrier islands, uncover ancient treasures on fossil hunts, and watch playful dolphins from the boat. You can also choose hands-on experiences like crabbing, cast netting, birding, and peaceful sunset trips—all tailored to your perfect, unhurried day on the water. Trips can be booked year-round, weather permitting.
Let's Book A Trip!
Fossil Hunting
Our fossil hunting tour is a four-hour guided or unguided trip for families, visitors, and local collectors. We explore remote islands along the Savannah shipping channel, where fast-moving waterways and muddy banks mean you should expect to get a bit dirty. Along the way, you’ll look for megalodon teeth, ancient fossils, shells, and other remarkable pieces of history to take home.
Dolphin Tours
Little Tybee Eco-Tours
A two-hour tour exploring quiet tidal creeks and watching wild bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat—a fun experience for all ages. Along the way, you’ll learn about their behavior and why, no matter how many times you’ve seen a dolphin, it’s always a beautiful experience.
A three-hour tour with a local professional guide over to Little Tybee, a remote island off the coast of Tybee Island. This 6,500-acre uninhabited nature preserve is only accessible by water, and tours are encouraged because tides in this area can change quickly. It’s a peaceful stretch of shoreline perfect for beachcombing, bird watching, and quietly experiencing local wildlife.
The Heart Behind the Helm
Captain Leigh Ann grew up on the coastal waters of Georgia, spending her earliest days exploring these winding waterways with her dad. Here, she learned to read the tides, respect the wildlife, and find hidden beauty in every bend of the river. Today, she brings that same care and curiosity to every private charter, guiding guests through the wild, quiet side of Tybee Island and sharing the place she’s always called home.
